Default Lights flickering

I am new here and hoping someone can help me.

While driving my headlights flicker, along with my flashlights and the blower motor of the heater will turn off.

Knowing it's an old van we have already replaced the battery and alternator. The charging system seems to be working perfectly.

When this happens if I wiggle the gear shift I can get power back, even if the lights do not go back to full brightness.

What r the next steps?

*I should have probably said I have a 1979 GMC G1500 Vandura, 5.0 liter Automatic

I am just going to guess that it is a loose harness. Seeing that it affects everything, I would suspect the main power into the fuse box or something like that. Wiggle your fuse box and the harnesses going to it. Maybe it's a damaged wire somewhere? If you cannot find it, trace the power all from the battery / alternator all the way back inspecting every inch.

Did you check both battery cables for corrosion and looseness at both ends. I agree seems like a bad connection somewhere.
