just recently purchased a 96 Chevy Express with a Glaval conversion only to find out that the motor for the rear reclining seat/bed is shot. Any ideas where I can pick up a replacement? If not, a way to temporarily add power to the seat would be nice!

same place you would get any parts, a dealer. Rockauto perhaps?

 

I have a still working/almost dead motor. it's a wormgear type.

if you go to junk yard look for vans also the same era chevy 2door Tahoe has a folding sofa/bed.get the motor off either car.
