Default New 2023 Express Hard shifting from 1-2

I have new 2023 express cargo van. When the van is cold (first start in the AM) it revs high and shifts hard from first to second the first two times it shifts from 1-2. After that it is fine. Seems fine after driving for a few minutes. I have let the van run for 5-10 minutes before driving and it still does it. I am taking it in to the dealership to have them look. Any ideas?

after 10 minutes in July, it's should be warmed enough to go so that would bother me too. If the van is BRAND brand new (ie only a few dozen miles), then it's possible the transmission is still adapting. It should smooth out over time.

Default Class action lawsuit(s) over GM transmissions

"The lawsuit alleges the Hydra-Matic 8L90 or Hydra-Matic 8L45 transmission may produce “a terrifying jolt or shake while driving,” which can cause “delays in acceleration and stopping, as well as other dangerous driving conditions.”

Possible causes include a defective torque converter, excess friction between transmission components and bad transmission fluid. "

"According to the lawsuit, General Motors has known about the problem for years but has failed to adequately address it."
