New guy, doing my intro thread here
We just got our 09 155" 3/4 ton back from the body shop. It still needs a couple maintenance items before getting put back to work but it sure looks good. Some kid just straight blew through a 2 way stop and creamed the front driver's side. I had just done new u joints, trans mount, front hubs and brakes too. We had to keep driving it after the wreck while we looked for a new van but holy crap the prices had gone through the roof. Of course the wreck did an adjustment on the alignment so excessive toe in and negative camber really put a hurting on the inner edges of the front tires, so it's gonna need a new set of rubber too. Alright enough jibber jabber, here's the after:
It's got 135k on the clock, we put about 50k on it. It's been a solid van, maybe a little trans trouble here and there but it seems to be working and leak free so I'm calling it a win. The little four-point-great liter never misses a beat. The "new" van is a 2018 135" 3/4 ton with window'd side and rear doors with the sliding side door. Just turned over 50k. It was a former u-haul rental, I was a little iffy on it but it's been great for 30k miles so far. Anyway looking forward to picking brains and learning more about these. I was looking for torque specs recently and wasn't able to find any forums for these vans at the time, I sure was glad to see this place on a search last night.
