Default NO spark after EGR, emissions removal

1983 GMC Vandura Brougham B+ camper van 350 4bl:

I pulled the air pump, EGR, vac canister and all emissions related hoses, and plugged exhaust manifold when I installed my 2101 Edelbrock manifold and 1406 carb.

I plugged the vap line returning to fuel tank and plan on vented fuel cap.

Per Edelbrock, I ran a vac line to the distributer from the non-emissions port on the carb, and the trans vac line from a "T" on the rear of manifold.

I left the broken 2-port vacuum switch in the water neck as a “plug” because I read the computer doesn't care if the emissions are removed, except perhaps to advance timing. I did hook the PCV valve back up to the Edelbrock.

Now I have NO spark at all, and don't know what to try next. One guy recommended jumping the green and black wires of the 4 prong ESC module plug at the distributor, but I don't have those colors.

Any suggestions please! Is the best way to just go with an MSD box, and if so how do I bypass computer altogether and which model ignition box is best suited for this year/type engine?

How much of a computer does and 83 have? I wonder if its just a coincidental issue with the dizzy, or the wiring.
