Plaqued 2015 3500?
The Fuel Pump just went out on this 3500….and just recently I reported the PMU, that one took six weeks at the Dealers due to COVID. To make it interesting, about two weeks after getting it back, the Run/Start Relays were changed. I called the Dealer Service….said it will take about five weeks again before they can work on it. I am now looking at a Garage that services RV’s, sling with autos & trucks. I know this will probably be a financial bite…and I wonder what could come next - the reason I think it might be cursed, ha. I had a 2005 that performed flaelessly for eight years.
Pump is $200-ish, labor to drop the tank and swap maybe three hours if it's not rusty and comes right apart. I don't know what other crap they have on a 2015 that wouldn't be on a 2005 to drop the tank. But it's two bolts plus filler neck.
Or, you can cut a hole in the floor as an access panel and then it's a pretty easy job.

The place I had it towed to, a Garage in NC, about 45 miles away, has a great rep for good work and honesty. They gave me a tour of their shop….even working on a race car. The Chevy Garage said weeks before they could do it, these guys say next week. A friend who works at Chevy said it is parts driven….they are playing the find the GM Part, but these folks have a Car Quest on Site. When I do get it back I will put out the cost. Thanks for the heads up on pricing and labor range.
UPDATE: The Fuel Pump is in, got it home yesterday. They installed new F/P, Relay, New strap w/ nut/bolt, did an LOF, repaired a rubbing in front wheel. The Tech showed me a couple photos of the Strap and the nut & bolt that were rusted out…my thought was suppose I had been traveling and it gave out. The final bill was $1101.10, including tax. The F/P was like $480, but I am just glad it is behind….well, it, but meant over, ha!
