I am out of ideas on this and would appreciate any wisdom you can share.
The passenger window was not working from either switch, no noise, nothing.
Replaced passenger switch. No change.
Replaced passenger window motor.
(this is where I get confused)
The driver side double switch will raise and lower the passenger window as expected.
The passenger side switch will ONLY raise the window. it will not lower it.
So the motor works but you cant lower it from passenger side. I'm totally stumped.
I found the diagram below but don't understand it.

Funny, my 85 Nissan just had the same problem. Passenger window would only go down from either switch. Took apart the DRIVER side switch, used fine emery paper on the contacts and sprayed with DeOxit cleaner. Easy enough project; hope the switch performs for another 35 years!!
New driver side switch resolved the issue. I would have never figured that out because the driver side was operating it correctly but as you guys said, there was a connection that was not being made.

Thank you both!
Glad to hear you got it fixed! I know I am late to the thread, but in case someone else reads this and is having similar issues in the future. An easy way to test a power window issue if your not sure if it is wiring/switch/motor etc. Is use jumper wires from a jump box straight to the window motor. One way the window should go up, switch them around and it will go down. If nothing happens or it just makes noise then the motor is bad. You can do the same thing with the window switch plugs as well. This will help you diagnose the issue, so you don't buy unnecessary parts.
