Default Problem with the interior light!!

Hi, when I bought the van, the Inside light was opening when the door open. I was working in the van and the light went off and never open again with the door but if I turn the switch on they open. Someone had this problem before???
Thanks for your help!!

the trucks have a dome light off switch that over-rides the on signal. It is a separate switch from the dome on/off switch. It is part of the dimmer control...press the upper tab.

My override is a push button switch right below the headlight switch.....(2002)
Also the door pin could be sticking.....

Mine acts goofy too, many times the dome light doesn't work, and many times the radio stays on even after I open a door. Mine is an '06. I haven't had a chance to work it out yet. But I have a feeling they are related to each other.

Its the override switch...this is so when you are at a job site with the doors open all day you don't drain the battery.

Hi, thanks everyone for your help. I look everything that you guys told me and nothing.

But I was installing the LED light in the cargo and when I toutch the wiring near the right back light, they open!!!! And now they work fine. The funniest thing is that I was installing those LED light because my dome light was not working, now I have LED light plus my dome!!! I think that I have enough light Inside!!!

Thanks again

Mike
