I got a radio from a junk yard that came out of a chevy car don't remember what kind. It has theft lock but currently isn't locked. I have it bench tested and it works. Model # is 16232131. Will it lock up when I put it in my 94 G-20?

I will keep that in mind. Going out of town tomorrow so next week I will tear into this project. Going to install the new used radio, brand new 5 X 7 speakers in the dash, fix the heat cold cable, (stuck on heat), add another cigarette lighter jack. Then I'm taking it to a steering column specialist to have the turn signal problem fixed. Left signal won't cancel.

 

Hi guys! I"m new here! kinda into the same situation as Jimmy Driver, with my Silverado, trying to upgrade to an OEM navi radio, ran into more garbage than its worth, I think, but still gonna watch the forums to see if I can learn anything! Glad I found this forum!

 

Well I got lucky. The theft lock did not activate. It had the harness jack that the original radio had so I now have a radio that plays CD's. I got the new speakers in the dash and the extra cigarette lighter jack installed. As a bonus, the CD player had an Eric Clapton concert CD in it. Along with those upgrades my van also has fold out windows, a Rear view mirror with map lights that came from an S-10 Blazer, and second hand window blinds that function. Now I need to find a new grill.
