Hi, I have a 2003 Chevy Express 1500 with rear ac/heat. It’s a conversion van with pro-air rear climate control. The rear climate control worked well until yesterday when it was stuck in heat mode. I noticed under the van is a coolant control valve (picture below). Is there a way to test this? Is there also a blend door? Thank you!
Joe
if that's a picture of your control valve then it's vacuum operated. Apply a vacuum and see if it opens. The vacuum is probably controlled by a another solenoid though and those usually burn out. As for your rear hvac it's might be aftermarket done by the conversion company.

thank you for the info. I’ll pop the connector and apply vacuum. I’ll also see if vacuum at the connector changes based on heater setting.
