Question Removing the Passenger side running board...

Have a log running board step down the passenger side on my Express 2500. I am not a fan as I can not just crawl under and get to anything for maintenance, just realized it is way lower than I thought. . (Zerc fittings or even my oil drain plug are unreachable and no I do not have the ability to have ramps etc.. Wish I did. This is the long one that runs down under the slider door, on up to the front passenger door from the back wheel...Anyone ever remove one? Any caveats? Just wondering how hard it may be?
