Rubber Floor liner
When I first bought my van I concluded the rubber floor liner had to go. My thinking was if I sheet the floor in plywood I can screw mounts and stops to the floor so certain items will sit in predefined spaces without moving. Also, plywood should allow sheets and such to slide easier. I didn't seem to believe the rubber floor mat/liner would last over time. Has anyone's ripped? Do they last after having things dragged across them over and over? It seems thin.
If I put a plywood floor in, I was planning on using stainless steel self drilling screws, screwing the plywood right to the steel floor, but I wonder about rust. Naturally the screws be exposed underneath the van. Think this would be a potential for rust down the road? I'm just looking for opinions, ideas, corrections.
Thanks.
