Should I paint New Front Bumper Myself?
I just bought a new front bumper from certifit for $110 for my 2004 Chevy Express 3500 but it comes primed grey and ready for paint. Should I paint it myself with spray paint cans or should I take it to a body shop for a simple spray?
If You recommend painting it myself, should I go with Rustoleium rust preventer spray paint or regular metal paint and spray clear coat? I'm a newb here and know nothing about paint besides house paint.
You advise would be appreciated.

I would phone around for prices. Car paint is harder and more durable than rattle can paint.....If you do paint it yourself.....do like 5 or more light coats and let it cure for a couple weeks......it takes a long time for the rattle can paint to fully harden....
I just took the bumper to a chevy dealer body shop, they will paint it for $100.
Good call. I would have been the idiot that attempted to paint it himself only to regret it later.
You know, this is why I actually prefer black paint over chrome veneer. You can simply paint them again.
