So yeah, its not the media player. The TV has a USB slot from where Im playing, in the TV, MP3 Music. Its connected to the head unit with an AV cable, and the ignition noise is there, in the head unit. Next, I will ground the AV shield and report back.

I tried that audio file from 20 hertz to 25,000 hertz.. I could not hear at 14,000 hertz and above, but it did come back around 19,000 hertz just before disappearing again.

Without trying it, I doubt I'd get to 14k. But yes, after our teen years, it starts to degrade. But that's the least of what I used to be able to do.
