I was just fiddling with a bluetooth OBDii module and my tablet/phone last night. You could always just have your tach display on your phone. $20, no wires, no fuss. Simple.

After the epic battle of removing the seat rails mounted on the floor, I needed a flat, non slip, (or as close as i could get) floor surface, so i bought the highest exterior grade 3/4" plywood I could find and figured I'd try some deck restore type paint because it has texture.
I guess we'll see how it holds up.

This is looking really great. The new front end makes a big difference.
I really dislike vehicles without a tach. At least on the newer ones you can use an inexpensive OBDII app on your phone, but this isn't possible on the older ones.
