(Bought this 1500 Express Conversion Van new in '97) replaced the driver side window motor once before. It doesn't always work. Sometimes opening and closing the door seems to work. Is there anything to check besides the connections at the switch? Don't want to replace the motor if that's not the problem.

 

Check the connector to the motor and the wiring to the motor from the switch for breaks or weak spots.

 

...and the wire going from the door to the dash. The flex section inside the boot in the door jamb etc....
