2003 3500 express van 6.0 cable operated throttle . Erratic mostly acts sticky. Revs very high. If I stop I can open hood and force it back to normal. l occasionally it will barely stay running. Everyone is out of stock on a replacement.

Take it off, clean it, grease it, make sure the return springs aren't broken, check the throttle cable movement, replace throttle cable if necessary, put back together?

 

grease? O! ON the outside? or inside at the plate?
I did clean it and it was pretty filthy.

 

Look behind the TPS, however most of the load goes into the side with the cable attachment.

Does the cable move freely?
