dodge runs a trans heat exchanger near the trans to heat the fluid during warm up. They also have models that run coolant heaters to the rear diff to heat it up....believe it. Its all about efficiency and mpg ratings

Which models have the rear diff heater? I haven’t serviced a lot of Dodge trucks or cargo vans but I’ve only seen that some of the rear diffs are equipped with a cover that have heat sinks.

new pick ups. i haven't seen one yet...just seen the new model info as part of dealer training. seems crazy.
the ram pick ups with IFS...the upper control arms are plastic.

lol....crazy stuff to increase mpg. i know when replacement time comes....i would put a steel aftermarket arm in.

Give it time - when those control arms start shattering at highway speeds for no apparent reason and the lawsuits start getting filed, they’ll go back to steel or aluminum.

I guess AC Delco gave up on trying to make lines that hold fluid so they've simply eliminated them...
