Default Trying to disable Backup Beeping

I recently purchased a 2010 Express 1500 AWD Base model. I’m using it for non-commercial purposes and would like to disable the backup warning chime that activates when you begin reversing.

I looked up a video, referencing the same desire on a 2016 Express Van, that told me to remove the fuse, F26 “Auxiliary/ Trailer Backup”, but this did not work.

I will admit, I’m not very knowledgeable with electronic systems. Is there a proper order of operations besides turning off the vehicle, removing the fuse and turning it back on?

Or is it possible that my 2010 Base model, may have the beeping running to another fuse?

OR do I just locate the speaker making the noise and cut it off?

Wanted to throw this out and ask before I start going down the process of elimination, fuse by fuse…

Thank you for any help!

yes. Mine was up on the frame behind the driver rear wheel. It was spliced into the the reverse lights.

Great, thank you! Are there any issues/ concerns to watch for after removing it? (Aside from distracted pedestrians lol)

Like what?
You are just making it a van without a backup alarm right?
I can't think of any issues, provided you don't leave the exposed wires flapping in the breeze of course.
