What does it take for a lifetime Ford E350 owner to trade up to a Express 3500??

Yawp. Some parking garages and drive thru lanes will be a problem but not having the motor fall out will be an advantage.
Doesn't Nissan make a pickup truck style panel van that has the large cargo capacity but has a lower overhead in back? I'm thinking I saw one & wondered why it was so oddly made... it may have been designed with those concerns in mind.

Yes that's why I like the Nissan. You can get a regular roofline or a hi top. I like the lower variety better. But if not enough horse power or payload/towing then Ill stick with a G3500.

What the dummy designers are missing, is that there are a lot of trades out there that drive a van because we need the interior length, more so than the height, or max payload. (I need 12 feet inside for flooring. )
Most all the new vans are way to short to be anything more than useless, unless you go for the uber expensive way too tall sprinter...

I went from an E150 to my Express 3500. Not much of a comparison really, but the chevy is a much, much nicer van. I did have to cut about 2" off the top of my ladder racks to be able to fit in to my 8' garage doors.
