What happened to taking care of the old, pretty, gorgeous vans in the world?

I come from a nation where older Chevrolet vans are something people drool over as they pass by. The land were even the nerds are cool if they drive an old, pimped Chevy van.

I am now in USA; the mother land of Chevy vans. But where are all the pimped out vans? THEY'RE VIOLATED AND OFFENDED!

I see homeless people on TV driving Chevy vans.
I see poor people who makes meth in their bath tubs driving Chevy vans.
I see Chevy vans misused and abused as church vans.
I even hear that parking next to a Chevy van at night will get you kidnapped!

What is the meaning of this? Why don't people take care of and love their Chevy vans here?
Why do they choose to treat their old vans like crap and buy new wife cars instead?

My wonderful Chevy van is left in Europe. Me and my van miss each other every day. But we're gonna get him over the Atlantic.
And then we'll show the US how to treat an old Chevy van!
We're gonna lead by example and be proud!
We're gonna always be polished and in high heels everywhere we go!
We're never gonna park at WalMart, only the Louis Vuitton store!
We're gonna go to van meetings and hand out gummy bears!

Btw; does anybody know of a site I can look at pimped out vans for sale?
