Default What is this part?

Hi! Brand new to the forum, thanks for having me here!

I have a 1996 Express 1500 5.7 (love it!), but it has a coolant leak from the front of the engine that is driving me nuts

I've changed the thermostat & gasket, as well as the water pump & gaskets, but still a tiny, leak on the ground if parked overnight. It takes about a month for half of the coolant to leak out.

Any thoughts? Also, can anyone tell me what this part is (circled in red)?

Thanks!!

EGR valve. Nothing to do with coolant.

Mountinjoe is spot on. It’s a lower intake manifold gasket leak. The OEM plastic gasket has failed.
