Wheel info - 2010 Express 3500
For those considering a wheel upgrade to their 2010 Express 3500, here are some critical measurements:
Wheel diameter: 16"
Wheel width: 6.5"
Offset: 25mm (~ 1")
Backspacing: 4 7/8"
Bolt pattern: 8 x 165mm
Wheel tuck in front: ~7/8"
Wheel tuck in rear: ~ 1/2"
The front knuckle/hub-carrier on the 3500 has very little clearance at the top of the wheel - about 1/2". Realistically, any replacement wheel can not have more than 5 1/8" backspacing. On the outboard side, the wheel can grow about 7/8", before it breaks the plane of the body line at the center of the fender.
My requirements were to maintain load capacity at the wheel and tire, and to not have tires sticking out of the fenders. In the end, I was able to find *one* wheel that worked: Eagle Alloys 058, in a 16 x 7 width. The wheel has a load rating of 3040lbs, and an offset of +8mm.
I looked at the ATX wheels and others - I just couldn't find a wider wheel that would correctly package under both the front and rear of the van.
Just thought I would post this, to save others a bit of time.
