Default White smoke under acceleration on 95 G30

I have smoke coming from tailpipe while turning and accelerating . I've been lucky to have owned this van since 170,000 miles on the odometer and we are at 345,000 now. She still has power but consumes a large amount of oil and vibrates like a bass drum at stoplights. The smoke has me concerned.

Any ideas?

Using the power steering puts extra load on the motor.

Could it be steam? When's the last time the heads or intake were touched. I wouldn't be surprised if the gaskets were on their way out.

Coolant leaking. Head gaskets most likely.

Vibration could be from poor spark or from the extra combustion in the wet cylinders....
I would pick up a used engine.....but the swap is a big big job....vans suck for that.

what engine?
if its the 6.5 diesel...white smoke can be caused by diesel fuel combustion as low temps.
if its a gasser...have a closer look at the colour of the fumes..bluish tint in the white cloud is oil burning in a tired old engine. have a look at the spark plugs for ash deposits on the center or side electrodes.

kinda unrelated but @ around 100k my import was blowing a lot of white smoke during start up and maybe intermittently in-between... During a valve cover gasket replacement my mechanic found a build up of sludge in the breather chamber causing the issue...
