Default why did my radio and battery drain mysteriously fix themselves?

my battery had been draining for a few months now, so i've always left it disconnected. my radio hadn't worked well for months; it would switch between aux input and radio at random. so, i'd listen to the radio, but it would cut out for random and lengthy periods - constantly. i've only owned the van for a year. i bought it from enterprise rentals. its a 2019 chevy express cargo.

so i took it to my dealer to troubleshoot both issues. they said the battery was not draining. i think they checked for a drain, then left it connected to see if it would run down. no problem. they said the radio was broken inside it... it would have to be replaced. i left the radio as is.

now i have the van back. yup, the battery seems fine - i leave it connected now. the radio ------- it appears fine now (although i haven't driven the van a lot since the dealer). but it seems fine, so far. no cutting out.

the only variables are a) now i'm not disconnecting the battery b) i use the keyfob to lock up the van, and i'm actually not sure if i'm setting the alarm or not. i no that if you press the fob twice, the horn beeps. if you press it once, the van locks. idk if it sets the alarm. c) the dealer did their electrical testing

my question - is it possible the dealer applied some master reset when doing their testing? or does this all have something to do with the van battery not being disconnected nightly. i'm mystified, but left with both problems seemingly vanished!

thank you!
