Will tranny from a Envoy XL Work for Savana?
The 4l60e needs to be replaced on a GMC 2004 Savana 1500, 5.3L 2WD. The tag on the Trans is 4CHD.
The one that was pulled for it came off a 2004 GMC Envoy XL, which is a 4.2l. 2WD - The tag on this one is 4SDD.
Both Transmissions LOOK exactly the same aside from the bell/tail housings which can be swapped.
Will this pulled transmission be fine if attached to a larger engine?

The 5.3L makes 20 more hp.
As far as I know , bell housings and input shafts from the same generation are identical.
They're probably interchangeable.
