Default Outside temp display?

I recall seeing a thread somewhere that described how to add an outside temp display to a later model Express via a cable/temp sensor and some interaction with the van's computer. Anyone have any ideas on this? My van is a 2015.

That should be simple. I am surprised that you do not have it. You need a temp sensor. That is mounted in front of the radiator, low just above or around the bumper somewhere and the appropriate wire which might already be there. Should be a two wire lead. Is there no temperature display on the Drivers Information Center? Just below the Speedometer where the Odometer is?

The sensor may be there. My '16 has the sensor, but the DIC doesn't give the info. But with a OBD2 Bluetooth device, and Torque software (on a phone or tablet) you can read that sensor.

StanVan, That's interesting that your van doesn't show outside temp on the dash because I also have a 2016, and mine shows it (to the right of the odometer). It's usually a couple degrees warmer than actual, and if the van is stationary after running for a while the outside temp is unreliable until we get moving again (it seems to be influenced by the engine heat).

I also have this problem I have the sensor but it doesn't show up on my display. I tried enabling it on the settings, no luck. My sensor is located under driver side headlight. I bought a new sensor will try installing it went I receive it. I bought the van in March of this year. Its a 2015 Chevy Express 2500 LT modified for vanpool.

I'll look, but I've never noticed it. I only thought to look in the DIC. Da Wife's '05 Equinox has it in the rearview. Mine was a rental. No modifications.

Default Outside temp

Outside temp to the right of the odometer, under the compass.

silent_20,

Not sure, mine has always been there... I'll try to look tonight when I get home.
