Default windshield wiper pulse monitor

I've got a 2003 Chevy Express 1500. My wipers wouldn't stop . Found that it is the pulse monitor board. Got a new board.
Want to make sure that I use the correct thing. The grease in it appears like bearing grease. What do you folks use and how much to cover the base mount?
Good running van for so old. I had all the belts and hoses on it replaced. Got new valve cover gaskets.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed

I wouldn't use a petroleum product on plastic boards. the important thing is that the module is sealed from the elements. I would use rtv to seal the box and a dab of dielectric grease on the connector pins.

Nothing else needs to be said.
I have a 1995 Blazer and the rear wiper won't work. Changed the motor 4 times. I was told to try a now pulse board. They're "obsolete".
