1996 k1500 engine grounds?
My son has no pcm signal going to the ecm to initiate coil spark. I am sure he didnt reinstall all ground straps etc. After rebuilding the engine. One important ground is located under the ac/ and heater hoses on passenger firewall! (he broke the stud off) how important is this one? Does anyone have a list of all ground locations? So i can check them all?

The ladder frame is used on pickups and larger vehicles, such as medium duty and heavy duty class 8 commercial vehicles. It is inherently stronger then the unibody frame construstion of newer light vehicles, that are desined to cushion or "crunch" in order to provide a level of protection to the occupants of smaller cars and even some SUV's.
Your Chevrolet K-1500 has such a frame, as do most any pickup truck I can think of, no matter who manufactured the pickup. Your engine rests on the motor mounts which are attached to your ladder frame. Since these mounts are made of a non-metallic substance, they cannot provide for a good ground and thus the need for grounding cables or straps.
