Default S10 2.2 high performance engines

I own my first 1995 s10 2.2 L from an old lady that only drove to church on Sunday's, fun little truck and runs like a top, but I've been looking every where to see if anyone is building a high performance 2.2 for another s10 Im wanting to buy that's in good condition but needs a motor swap. I'm an old motor head, but I figure the 2.2 isn't worth someone building and that's why I can't find anything but stock rebuilds. not interested in super chargers or turbos. Any info would be great. Thanks

I am sure that you can find a 2.2 L boosted motor, but why? The stock 2.2 runs very well.

The 2.2 that's in the 2nd truck I want to by has 285,000 with issues. The truck is clean and straight $ 400.00 just thought a 2.2 that had a mild build would be nice. Finally found a company called Chevy cavalier world.com for 2.2L, but it's big buck stuff geared for racing and big HP. The chips that are offered thru jet or venom don't seem to have good reviews and comparisons I made between super chargers and turbos it would seem the turbo would the easier way to go. And like you said, the 2.2 is a great running motor so maybe I'll just rebuilt it and call it good if there isn't anything out there. Although I do have a 383 stroker setting on a running stand That crossed my mind
