At a standstill
I have a 2001 Chevy Express 1500 customized Van. I am the only owner. For the last year the vehicle battery is dead every 2 months. I drive this vehicle everyday. I'll come out t start it up and the battery is dead. The electrical specialist said there is not a short. He changed the alternator, starter, removed the aftermarket alarm. I purchased a new battery after constantly taking my diehard in for a charge every 2 months. Does anyone have any suggestions?
There may not be a short, but something is draining the battery. Something is not shutting off completely. It is using a bit of power without it being apparent. A good auto electric shop should be able to find a parasitic drain. Were all the cables checked for looseness and corrosion when the alternator and battery were changed?
