Just wondering if anybody out there ever rebuilt a water pump for a 2003 suburban 251-743 part number. I have been looking for a rebuild kit for this pump, the shaft seals are leaking and would like to replace them. I would greatly appreciate any guidance as to a place to locate any internal parts for the pump.

i'm betting that even if you can find all the bearings and seals you'd need it'll be a lot more cost effective to just buy a new or reman pump. Not to mention they come with a warranty usually.

yep, something's are not worth doing. putting p/s reservoirs on p/s pumps is another...pita and they end up leaking in the end. napa does not list any rebuild parts.
