Default 02 Chev 4.3 Vortec V6

I recently had my 02 express van, through a rod. I removed the oilpan, and decided in order to save money, to replace the broken rod/piston and make due for a few more months. Upon examination of the crank, the Bearing Cap bolt managed to do some serious damage the the crank journal. In other words, It ground a fairly deep scrape into it. Question, If I put it back to gether with this dent in the journey, what are the chances of it lasting for a few Months? Or, should I forgot about going through all the work and getting another engine for it.
Jeff

Money is a major factor these days, so was hoping to make due until the fall.

Wont fly dude. Your oil pressure will drop because too much oil will escape through that bad crank cut. It will starve the rest of the engine of oil. If you put it back together it could last a few hours or maybe a month, its a gamble.
