02 chev malibu
a month ago, i put the key in the ignition. car would not start. all the lights on the dash came on but nothing happened. i tried it several times. called AAA. they could not find anything. after about 20 min, the technician put the key in and it started. then yesterday it happened again. the same tech came out and put the key in and it started.
i called my mechanic and he said he would not be able to determine what the problem is until it happens again. he would come out with his diagnostic tools.
anothe friend had the same thing happen. he took it to the chev dealer and paid $300 to have it fixed.
3 years ago, i had the ignition replaced. could the ignition system be going bad again and if so, would there be a warrenty on it
