'02 impala advice?
Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone can really help me out with this but I recently got an '02 impala, with nearly 200k miles on it. The back end is giving me more sway than I'd like when traveling along the highway and I was wondering if anyone could point me in a direction.
I heard struts, sway.
Tires are supposedly fine, as well as my suspension.
Im not looking to throw money into it or get raped by a mechanic, so a direction to go in and detailed explanation why would be very helpful with this problem.
Thank you for any help!
love the car, and looking to have it last as long as possible.

check for play in the wheel bearings and play in the lateral link bushings. check all links, trialing arms that locate the wheel. if that is all good...have the rear toe setting checked. if total toe is out of spec, the rear end will wander in low traction driving condtions, the tires will have a saw toothed feather edge wear pattern on the inside or outside edge.
