Default 05 Chev Trailblazer Heat Issue

Ok,

I have cold air to partially warm on driver side (dual non-auto controll). I took the dash apart and the temp actuator moves until the blue meets red on the controler. It won't go any further. So, I thought it would be the actuator, ordered one and put it in. The same thing happens, so I took the actuator off and moved it by hand. You can't turn the shaft very much and when the engine is running I moved it by hand and I can't get it to do anything different then when the actuator was being used (cold to partially warm). Passenger sider is ok.

So, my question, since I think I ruled out the actuator being the issue is as follows: Could there be something keeping the door from moving the entire range of motion?? If so, can someone post the directions to take the dash out and get to the door because I am having a very dificult time. If you think it could be something else, plese let me know because I have put in way too much time already!!

TIA
