Ok,, here is one that is a bit annoying..now that all engines are using this direct spark and no longer use a coil ..to hear any type of valves knocking becomes more diffcult!!!!
Trying the old,, big screw driver to the ear doesn't work to well either. Any ideas or thoughts on how to listen for tapping rockers or valves...Yes this car brand new with only 400 miles on it but that is when these types of problems will show themselves...Yes I'm going to take it in for it's 1,000 first oil change to the dealer but you know the old saying........TRUST only in thy self... everybody eles is just looking to make a quick buck!!

they make stethascopes for automotive use
but like the other guy if some is gonna happen you will hear it
and witht todays technology
the knock sensor will adjust the timing instantly
so you wont hear anything unless it gets to where it needs to be fixed
