I have an 08 Chevy Silverado z71 while I was working on our family farm my truck suddenly died after crossing a small creek water not very high it started throwing the code p069e, I let the truck sit for about an hour and tried to start and it started and I continued running for about 2 minutes then it suddenly dies and when I try to crank it back over it wont start untill I let it sit for a while does anyone know what could have cause this or how to fix the problem thanks

 

p069e is an "information only" dtc for the fuel pump control module, might try a different scanner to see if theres any other codes. I would definitely be checking fuel pressure and volume also
