Naw, its just bare block. bored .040 over and stroke clearenced. i have switched from the iron eagle idea to some alum. afr 195 eliminator series for the 400 extra bones i can lower my compression for the hypers comfort, and improve airflow. I have heard the combo listed earlier would be to high of compression and i could possibly run into detonation problems, i suppose the aluminum heads will fix the problem.. possibly (hopefully) forged pistons as well.

Default 450 reliable horses out of 385 stroker?

The title sais it all. looking for sum imput and mostly guestimations on the hp rating. How does everyone feel about the compression with pump gas and alittle octane booster? How reliable do you think it wil be? see any faults or room for budget improvement? How about the driveablility? Will be a daily driver btw, something i can drive from work to the strip and back home again, i dont mind alittle bit of a rowdy tempramental motor and gas milege isent TOO big of a concern. Waddaya think?!?! (will be 8th and quarter mile based.)
Eagle cast steel 3.750 crank
Eagle SIR I-beam bushed connect rods (5.7)
Speedpro/keithblack hypers -5cc 10.7:1cr w/64cc heads(Might be looking into forged if the price is right.)
Comp Cams 292h Serious street/strip effort. 9.5:1 to 10.5:1
RPM range 3000-6500 - Valve lift 0.501 - Lobe lift 0.334 - Duration @ .050" Lift: 244 -
AFR, CNC Ported Alum. Chev SB Street Head, 195cc/75cc, .600" lift
performer RPM airgap,750 cfm carb
3000 stall with 4.10's out back TH400 tranny.

I guess i could use a cam with more lift in the upper .500's?
any imput would be severly appreciated, i will listen and i would love to learn something from you guys.

Yeah, try it, see how it runs. 120 HP can make some people happy, for some 900HP isn't enough.

At the end of the day, you're the only person who has to be satisfied here.
