Default 194X Identification

Back in the '40s, my grandfather got a brand new Chevrolet pickup. I don't remember the year but it had a small window at the back curve of the cab, behind the regular window/door. My sister is trying to create a timeline for our family (grandkids) and this is the only pointer to a specific year we were with him in Ashfork AZ. I have looked at many pickup pictures through the '40s period and have not found one with this window at each back corner. (2 windows, one on each side, right at the curve of the rear corner.)
If anyone recognizes this model, could you, please, help identify the year associated with it?
Many thanks.

That truck was first introduced in 1947.

Yup, that's the one. Many thanks. The timing is off for our timeline - how long did they include the little window in their lineups (I was thinking it was into the early 50's (?) Could be our memory is not as good as we thought; may have to backup a bit.

1955 first series trucks had the same body as the 54. The second series 1955 was a completely new body style.

That kinda confused me - does that mean the 'quarter rear window' was available on Chevy pickups from '47 to '54? That would line up a little better with what we remember. I noticed in one place, the window was 'optional', is that the case?
Again, thanks.

Yes it was optional. Not all of the trucks had it. The 5 window trucks are worth more today.
