1950 Chevrolet Styleline Special
My mother had a Chevy Deluxe, but my parents sold it before I was born. The place where my mother took her car for oil changes (not a GM dealership) didn't bother to grease all the Zerk fittings that every automobile had back then, so my father had some "words" to say to them, when he and my mother were dating. I wish I could have heard what he had to say to those morons. I am positive it wasn't very nice
The old man had a 1948' Studebaker with a flat-head I-6, 3 speed column-shift transmission with an overdrive handle under the dash and it did have an AM radio. What was optional were seat belts. Damn things were heavy and bulky; had to thread them through a metal latch and yank hard on it to adjust, not click them on like nowadays.
