1978 454 blowby
Hi Everyone,
I have a 1956 with 1978 1-ton drivetrain. The engine is a 454 with aftermarket valve covers. There is a lot of blowby coming from both banks. The engine did not have a PCV valve installed and I was told that the right one is critical! The problem I have is that the correct valve for this year does not fit into the breather hole on the valve cover. Should I change valve covers? Secondly, does this engine need 2 PCV valves? I am new to big blocks so I am currently a little stumped. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!
