I have an 83 K10 that I am building. The truck sat with no engine in it for about 10 years. The torque converter was in place all that time. The truck was stored inside an old barn for most of that time as well. The tranny was working fine when the engine got wasted and subsequently pulled out and sold. My question is if I change the fluid, filter and front and rear seals should the tranny be OK sitting that long? Another question, I found a guy that has one out of a 94 that had just been built when his motor blew up. He has all the paperwork where he had it built less than 100 miles on the rebuild. Will the 94 work in my 83 or is the 93 computer controlled? Any help would be appreciated.
