1988 silverado dome light issue

We have a 1988 Silverado. Got in and clicked the right side done light on to see something. It now it won’t turn off. Feels like the button won’t “click”. Does anyone know how to remove the little clear plastic cover and remove the bulb? ( Rather than remove the fuse? ) thanks for any ideas

Cover probably snaps in place. Should be able to use a dinner knife or a screwdriver to push the tabs in. Might be you can wash it out, let it dry and the map button will work.
