Default 1991 Astro, 4.3, spins but no start.

1991 Astro 4.3. Ran fine when parked. Now no start. Went through electrical, like new coil, new dissy. Still nothing unless I turn the dissy off 60 degrees from normal then get something, but not right. Does not sound like any engine damage (like timing chain broke smashed a valve), but wondering what others think. Could the timing chain have skipped a tooth? And/or does it have a crank position sensor. Or a split vacuum hose somewhere maybe? I'm at at loss here. Thanks any help! Robby

I would check to make sure the timing chain has not slipped a few teeth.
