Default 1995 silverado Brake controller questions

Anyone installed a brake controller for this truck? How do I tell if it has a factory tow package? I think I have one, but need to know for sure. Also, how difficult is it to install the prodigy or one of the cheaper models? Thanks

If memory service me right, there will be 2 hard lines running from the transmission to a small radiator mounted to the main radiator of the truck, this is to help cool the tranmission fuild for towing heavy loads. This should be the first signs of the factory installed tow kit. All most all Chevy Truck and SUV with the tow package installed will have this system.

Next, if your truck came with a Class 3 Hitch, mounted to the frame rails and not just the standard bumper hitch, this is another indicator. (but not always the case of after market installed hitches.)
