Default 1996 suburban cam retard shows -45 and won’t change adjusting the distributor please
Have pulled out distributor and kind to us by tooth will not change from -45 any ideas would be so helpful

Ignition systems these days are advanced by the ECM, but it needs input from sensors, I am thinking you might have a bad cam sensor on your 1996 Burb. That could easily cause your issue.
