My problem started with a truck I couldn't get into (drivers door), once I was in through another door and began moving a VERY difficult to move door lock mechanical switch up and down (see point to in linked pic), I could get in through the door. Suddenly my wireless opener began working again and easily locked or unlocked the door until the other day when I could no longer get in. To make matters worse, unfortunately I broke the mechanical switch and can only hope that a combination of the electronic unlock solenoid with the key in the door might be lucky in getting it one more time.

So any ideas on what causes this level of difficulty in getting the little vertical switch to move and does replacing the internal handle assembly usually cure the problem? TIA

Seems a bit lame commenting about an almost 5 year old topic in your first post. Must have worked pretty hard to find this one. Welcome to the forum! And yes, lots of good info here if you stick around for a few days.
