I bought a new fuel pump off ebay for my van but when I got it in the mail it wasn't exactly like the original. The original one has a black hose running from the top of the pump to the bottom with a little brass fitting on the end of the hose. The new one does not have the black hose but it seems to work fine. I'm kinda concerned though thinking the black hose may be some sort of a safety thing or vent or something? I don't know, any one have any ideas? Red arrow points to hose.
