1999 Silverado Power Window Issue
I just replaced the drivers side rails and window regulator(one piece) and it works fine but now the passenger side doesn't work. Since it would be a long shot for both to fail at exactly the same time I assume I might have done something to cause the passenger side to fail when I was putting in the driver's side.
1) It doesn't appear to have a separate fuse so, since the drivers side work, I assume that the fuse(?) works.
2) I hear a click from the passenger side when flipping the switch but nothing else. I haven't taken the panel off to troubleshoot further yet.
3) The wires and connector tabs all look fine, nothing bent or pulling out. I tried the passenger side switch but just a click so I assume it isn't the switch/
Note: The drivers side failed due to a broken piece of plastic on the window bracket where one of the two cables attach to. This is the bracket clamp that attaches the window to the rail.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Jon
